Community Guidelines

General Guidance

  1. Laguna Beach Christian Retreat’s check-in time is 2 PM. Check-out is by 9:30 AM. Their office hours are from 8 AM to 4 PM (2 PM on Sundays). If bedding and towels are needed, they can be rented from their office. All housing-related matters should be directed to their office.
  2. Practice love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).
  3. Avoid sexual immorality, impurity, indecent behavior, idolatry, witchcraft, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these (Galatians 5:19-21). No heresies, conversations, or materials contrary to the beliefs of Mercy Collective and the Gospel of Yeshua.
  4. Participants in Mercy’s events and activities must be registered with Mercy. Registered participants should wear their event wristbands. Participation is a privilege, and Mercy reserves the right to revoke anyone’s registration at any time for any reason. No refunds will be given.
  5. Obey God’s Law, the law, and the rules of Laguna Beach Christian Retreat, and be respectful of the leadership of Mercy and those facilitating various classes, discussions, and activities.
  6. Conduct yourself so that your behavior and conversations bring honor to Yeshua. Treat everyone, especially the staff of Laguna Beach Christian Retreat, with the utmost respect.
  7. Dress in a way that honors everyone and is a good witness to the holiness of Yahweh. If you find yourself offended by others, choose grace, purity of heart, and self-control. For worship especially, dress in a way that enables full physical movement without drawing attention to your flesh.
  8. Avoid being alone or having prolonged private conversations with members of the opposite sex outside of your own household. Extramarital PDA is to be avoided.
  9. Strive to have full attendance at the scheduled evening gatherings, participating as directed.
  10. Be mindful of sea conditions and the potential for rip currents.
  11. Quiet time begins at 10 PM.
  12. Clean up after yourselves and leave everywhere better than you found it.
